ASSESSMENTS

As the CBSE affiliated schools are required to follow the NCERT syllabus in the upperprimary stage, uniformity in the assessment structure, examination and issue of report cards across all the affiliated schools is felt necessary from class VI to VIII.

The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII has been prepared in view of the provisions of RTE-Act 2009 and comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained below:

TERM-1 (100 marks) (1sthalf of the session) 20 marks Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Half Yearly Exam
TERM-2 (100 marks) (2ndhalf of the session) 20 marks Periodic Assessment + 80 marks for Yearly Exam

The assessment structure and examination for classes IX and X. Total 100 Marks (Syllabus for assessment will be only for IX and X)
20 Marks students has to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject. 10 marks for periodic test-Periodic written test restricted to three in each subject in an academic year, average of the best two tests to be taken for final marks. 5 marks are allotted for note book and 5 marks for the subject enrichment activity.

Unit-Wise chapter tests in all subjects, Spell Bee Tests, Astragen Book worksheet assessment, reading assessments in English, Tamil, and Hindi, oral assessment in Math tables, assessment in ECA
Daily Review Tests, Regular Computer Practical and Hindi Oral Tests, Subject-wise Open Book Tests, Weekly Spell Bee Tests, Subject-wise MCQ Tests, Reading Assessment in Tamil, English and Hindi, , Term-wise ECA Assessment, identification of individual talents.
Daily Review Tests, Subject-wise MCQ Tests, Board Exam Pattern Revision Tests and Pre-Board Exams, NEET/JEE Foundation Course Monitoring Tests, a total of 10 module exams.
Board Class: Monthly Unit Tests, Cumulative Tests, Daily Work Verification, Full Portion comprehensive Exams beginning from September.

NEET/JEE Class: Biweekly MCQ Tests, OMR Evaluation and Remedial, Daily Work Verification, Discussion of Question Papers, Unit Tests and Cumulative Tests.
